Tanjung Malim, 13 November – Good staff-employer relationship in an organization will surely bring a huge impact in the development of an organisation to achieve better productivity as well as contributing to a harmonious, peaceful and friendly atmosphere.

According to President of Kesatuan Pegawai Am (KPA), Nazeema Mohamed Yusof, the element of camaraderie among employers and staff will foster a good relationship between both sides of the argument. If the attitude is being practised in an organization, then it would be able to create good social relations between the cogs and the gears of a corporation.

“This attitude could bring UPSI soaring upwards like as per the vice chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohammad Shatar Sabran’s aspirations,” she added while attending the Black Tie Dinner Event which coincides with the appointment of the KPA Officers which was held at Dewan Sri Tanjong.

The inauguration ceremony of 40 members receiving letter of commission for the 2017/2020 session was officiated by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Students and Alumni Affairs, Professor Madya Dr. Md Amin Md Taff.

 KPA also granted Best Employer Award UPSI 2017 to two prominent figures as a sign of appreciation of the staff members to the employer which consists of Nurfaizal Fariz Shahdan (Administration and Professional Category) and the Dean of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Professor Madya Zaharul Lailidin Saidon (Employer-Staff Relationship Management Category).

 The acknowledgement serves as a sign of appreciation to employers who are concerned of the welfare of the employees and always kept a harmonious atmosphere even in a discussive situation. According to the President of KPA, this is the second year such credentials are handed to two prominent figure who are committed to keeping a good relationship with the Union.

 The inauguration ceremony was officiated by the Chairman of Yayasan Pekerja Malaysia, Datuk Haji Omar Hj Osman who formerly served in the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (CUEPACS).

“This is a great example of how the Union members has proven themselves to be capable of appreciating their employers,” said Omar.

He also added that the Black Tie Dinner is a refreshing concept and that compliments should be handed to the KPA of UPSI.

Recently, the number of the worker’s union members were tabulated at being 1009 people.
