Tanjong Malim, January 7, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Seed The Future was organised on January 7, 2025 as part of the course Information and Communication Technology in Chemistry (SKI 3013)<\/em> with the intention to provide students with hands-on experience in applying information and communication technology (ICT) in line with course requirements. The program was led by Adib Aiman Suriyono as Program Director and Tarwin Murali as Deputy Director and was officially officiated by the Head of the Chemistry Department, ChM Dr. Mohamad Idris bin Saidin. The initiative reflects the department\u2019s commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates equipped with both technical and soft skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the implementation of Seed The Future program, students were given the opportunity to enhance their communication skills by actively engaging in planning, execution, and information delivery to target audiences. This exposure helped build students\u2019 confidence and strengthened their ability to interact professionally in real-world settings. In addition, the program focused on developing students\u2019 competencies in sales and product marketing through the use of ICT. These skills are regarded as essential early preparation for facing future challenges in the workplace and entrepreneurial ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 160 students showcased innovative products covering a wide range of themes, including green technology, recycled materials, agriculture, tangible educational products, and online educational products. Students were allocated 12 weeks to develop their products and market them to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Seed The Future program, students\u2019 innovations were comprehensively evaluated by four experienced judges with strong backgrounds in commercialisation. The panel consisted of Dr. Suzaliza Mustafar and Dr. NurulsaidahAbdul Rahim, Mdm Johana Jumiran and Mdm Nurul Ain Yusof from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, UPSI, as well as Dr. Siti NurulainiAzmi and Dr. Siti FaizahZainal from the Faculty of Management and Economics, UPSI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program is expected to provide meaningful benefits to students by strengthening their communication skills, creative thinking, and self-confidence. It is also anticipated that the knowledge, experience, and skills gained through Seed The Future will serve as long-term added value in students\u2019 academic development and future careers, while enhancing their adaptability to current industry demands and modern working environments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
