Tanjong Malim, December 27th 2025 – The students of CPL2031 Theater and Drama successfully delivered a theater performance titled \u2018Diantara Kau, Aku dan Waktu,\u2019 featuring Adib Azryll as Adam, Sharifah Nadiah as Hasmah, Sylvia Anak Johnstin as Luna, as well as many other cast members and ensembles who gave their all to complete their show on the grand stage of Tinta Pesona, Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. CPL2031 Theater and Drama is one of the many subjects offered by the UPSI Co-Curricular Centre as a requirement to meet the necessary number of credit hours per semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musical Theater \u2018Diantara Kau, Aku dan Waktu\u2019 is one of the assessments required in CPL2031 Theater and Drama. The students, however, went beyond and performed with great enjoyment. No longer was the performance an assessment; it had become a way for them to express themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the supervision of Dr. Mardiana Ismail and the guidance of Merahmalam, these young talents managed to put on a good show for the community of Tanjong Malim, who chose to participate in the viewing of the performance. Dominating the stage of the Black Box in Tinta Pesona, the audience was blown away by the creativity showcased by the students and the raw talent of the cast members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Mardiana Ismail, as the course instructors for CPL2031 as well as the Management Coordinator, expressed a deep satisfaction with the entire process, from early training all the way to the final performance. According to her, the entire production process was a huge and smooth success. She was also content to be able to educate and expose the students to the world of production and performing arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The audience was made up of a variety of people from different backgrounds, including UPSI students, the cast members\u2019 and crew’s immediate family and friends, as well as a few lecturers and staff. This showed how the performance was well-received by the entire community of Tanjong Malim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the audience, Dr. Mazarul Hasan was included as one of the honored guests invited to witness the performance. As stated by him right after the performance, the talents involved in the theater show are praiseworthy. However, he also believed that they have the potential to significantly improve and grow in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the drama carrying the romantic comedy genre, a simple plot, and an unexpected twist at the end, the Black Box was filled with the laughter and amusement of the Tanjong Malim folks as they experienced the students\u2019 acting, perfectly balanced with both romance and humor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This theater performance, categorized under Musical Theater Performance, has proven to be quite difficult for the students of CPL2031 to grasp. With the challenge involving time management, actors\u2019 and crew members’ availability, as well as a lack of experience, they managed to deliver the shock factor by overcoming these challenges and eventually delivered a great performance for the audience to enjoy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
