LANGKAWI, 13 February 2026<\/strong> \u2013 International, Mobility and Advanced Education Centre (IMAC), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), successfully organised the International Student Cultural Exploration Program: Langkawi<\/em> 2026, aimed at introducing international students to Malaysia\u2019s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme, held from 10 February to 13 February 2026, brought together international and local students in Langkawi, a well-known international tourism destination and UNESCO Global Geopark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the programme, participants took part in several activities at different locations. The programme began with a Community Service Responsibility (CSR) activity at Masjid Al-Hussain, Kuala Perlis, where participants engaged in volunteering work and community activities. Participants also stayed at Pantai Cenang, allowing them to experience the local environment and spend time together throughout the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme also included a learning journey focused on history and heritage at the Langkawi Cable Car located at Gunung Mat Cincang, as well as a visit to Kompleks Kraf Langkawi. In addition, participants joined a cultural and educational exploration through a mangrove boat tour at Kilim Geoforest Park, where they learned about the ecosystem and environmental conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked, IMAC staff stated that the programme reflects UPSI\u2019s commitment to providing meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom while promoting global awareness and cultural understanding among students. The programme also created opportunities for interaction between international and local students, allowing them to build friendships and share cultural experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants shared positive feedback on the programme. They enjoyed the activities, learned more about Malaysian culture, and built new friendships. They also appreciated the support and guidance provided by the programme team. Many expressed interest in joining similar programmes in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, the International Student Cultural Exploration Program: Langkawi 2026 served as a valuable platform for cultural exchange and learning.
