TANJUNG MALIM, April 16<\/strong> \u2013 Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) is taking a leading role in preparing Malaysian students for the upcoming Year 4 learning assessment framework through a strategic research collaboration valued at RM227,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between UPSI and its strategic partners, Appbooks Sdn Bhd, Appmedia Inc, and Sahmyook University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration focuses on developing and enhancing an Interactive E-Module for Bahasa Melayu, specifically designed to support Year 4 pupils in line with the Year 4 Learning Matrix Approach, which emphasises holistic, competency-based, and meaningful learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Suriani Abu Bakar, said the initiative reflects the university\u2019s commitment to supporting national education priorities and advancing digital learning innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis initiative has the potential to be expanded nationally and serve as an international reference in digital module development, particularly in supporting Malaysia\u2019s transition towards more holistic and effective learning assessment,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that the project is aligned with the National Education Plan 2026\u20132035 and complements the recently launched Malaysia Education Blueprint (Higher Education) 2026\u20132035, which aims to enhance Malaysia\u2019s global education quality and competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Director of the Neoteric Education Initiatives Centre (NiCE), Prof. Ts. Dr. Wong Kung Teck, highlighted that the project aligns with Education 5.0, which integrates advanced technology with human-centred and future-ready learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis initiative is not only about digital innovation, but also about preparing pupils for the new learning assessment framework. The Interactive E-Module for Bahasa Melayu will support Year 4 pupils in adapting to the Year 4 Learning Matrix Approach, particularly in strengthening critical thinking, active engagement, and meaningful learning experiences,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Managing Director of Appbooks Sdn Bhd, Mohd Musyaffa Mohd Fadzin, noted that such partnerships are crucial in driving meaningful transformation in education. Representatives from South Korea also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening international collaboration in digital learning innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
