KUALA KANGSAR, Sept 26 — Ten students from the Faculty of Languages and Communication (FBK), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), joined peers from across the country for an inspiring five-day Content Creator Digital Bootcamp (CCDB) 2025 — an initiative designed to nurture creativity, digital storytelling skills, and innovative thinking among future content creators.
Organised by AKM and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), this year’s bootcamp, held from 22 to 26 September, marked the second successful edition of the programme since its debut in 2024.
Participants from UiTM, UPSI, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Universiti Malaya (UM) came together to learn, collaborate, and showcase their creative potential.

Learning the Art of Digital Storytelling
The programme kicked off with an opening ceremony and ice-breaking sessions aimed at fostering collaboration beyond university boundaries.
Participants then dived into hands-on workshops, exploring poster design techniques and learning strategic posting times for social media platforms like TikTok — with the prime window for Malaysian audiences revealed to be between 8pm and 11pm.
On the second day, students engaged in a masterclass on storytelling by Todak Academy, where they were introduced to the key elements of impactful advertising: the hook, problem, solution, and happy ending.
Participants brainstormed and refined creative ideas, receiving constructive feedback from industry mentors before moving into filming and editing their advertisement projects.

Celebrating Creativity and Culture
Day three centred on the theme of Malaysia Madani, with AKM leading a series of interactive activities — including Lego-building challenges, quizzes, and singing sessions — designed to foster teamwork and strengthen participants’ appreciation of national identity.
The following day, students collaborated with Maxis in a workshop focused on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into digital content creation.
Using AI prompts, participants produced visually compelling digital posters, highlighting the synergy between creativity and technology.
The evening culminated in the much-anticipated video presentation session, where each team unveiled their advertising projects.
Among them was Naskhah Harapan (“Manuscript of Hope”), a video created and presented by the UPSI team. The project conveyed a message of optimism and innovation, while providing the student presenters with an opportunity to hone their public speaking skills.
A Winning Moment
The bootcamp concluded with a closing ceremony celebrating the participants’ achievements. The UPSI team’s video Naskhah Harapan was named the overall winner, earning the group first place and a cash prize of RM70 each.
For the participants, the experience extended far beyond technical skills. “The Content Creator Digital Bootcamp was more than a learning programme — it was a journey that taught us resilience, teamwork, and the courage to tell stories that inspire and connect,” said one participant.

The success of CCDB 2025 highlights the importance of initiatives that bridge creativity, technology, and cultural values — preparing Malaysia’s next generation of content creators to thrive in the evolving digital landscape.
