UPSI, 14 NOV – To spread the news of the ever growing field of agro entrepreneurship, MyAgrosis Club in collaboration with Agrobank, Entrepreneurial Development and Graduate Employability Centre (EDGE) UPSI, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Malaysia takes an initiative to organize the  Entrepreneurship Carnival by Chillax TN50 & Mybest Buy and the launching ceremony of K-Shoppe Myagrosis.

Deputy Vice Chancellor, Students and Alumni Affairs, Professor Madya Dr. Md Amin Md Taff said that the implementation of programmes of similar nature is important to make sure the ongoing process to educate the students to be aware of the importance this particular field of entrepreneurship in especially when the youths are living in a time where it isn’t exactly easy to make a living.

“Agro industry is an immense industry so that the students will have to open their mind as agriculture does not revolve around gardening activity but is instead,  through modern agro industry along with the sudden explosion in industry 4.0 and education 4.0,  it is possible to create an agriculture industry that’s worth millions of ringgit,” he quipped while attending an event that held at the grounds of the Bitarasiswa building.

Also attending the event are the Deputy Director of FAMA Perak, Mohammad Fatimie Mohd Fuzi, Manager of Agrobank Tanjong Malim branch, Marnita Abd Ghani and Consultant of Myagrosis UPSI, Abu Bakar Mamat.

In order to spread the news, an exposé event was held by Agrobank entitled ‘Belia Terdidik Mencermin Transformasi Negara.’ It was spearheaded by the Chief of Research and Development Product Agrobank, Mohd Azmi Yahya and was aimed to give the students of UPSI the necessary channel to resurrect the agro industry around Tanjong Malim and subsequently giving back to the people.

Other events that were held are the Invention and Innovation Creative Competition, Youth Talk with PU Fakhril, Entrepreneurship Townhall Program ‘ Buka Minda Tingkatkan Minat, Entrepreneurship Carnival My Best Buy, Explorace Tani, Plantation For Life, Fruit Sculpture Competition, Jombo Mega Sale Preloved Shoppe UPSI and Jaguh Kampung Agromas Cooking Competition.

Agrobank and FAMA also handed a sponsorship worth RM25,000 to UPSI.
