TANJONG MALIM, 26 April 2026 – Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), through the Karnival Jom Masuk Universiti (JMU) 2026 Central Zone II, continues to provide valuable exposure to the public on higher education pathways and future learning opportunities.

The event this morning featured a special musical performance by three Year 1 pupils and four Year 2 pupils from Sekolah Rendah Seri Budiman (SRSB), Nur Ayraa Binti Mohamed Khairil, Yazeed Bin Mohd Yusran, Yusuf Al Fateh Bin Mohd Abdul Fatah, Abdelmateen Bin Norharizal, Nur Hamra Saffiya Binti Mohd Hafiz, Raifa Nazneen Binti Ridzwan, and Muhammad Hafiy Hamzaa Bin Mohd Khairul Azrul accompanied by UPSI student teachers from the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Jim Isaac E.Hermenegild, Mohamad Qassiem Iqbal Bin Mohamad Adnan, Elfin Zeackly Hans, Alif Danieal Bin Norazmi, and Mohammad Casmir Amar Bin Mohammad Ali under the leadership of Dr. Mohd Yusran bin Mohd Yusoff, with guidance from SRSB teachers Mrs. Nur Farah Aqilah Binti Ramlan, Mrs. Nur Afiqah Binti Rahimi and Miss Nurul Zafirah Binti Zolkfilee. The performance was also supported with the assistance of four internship students from the Faculty of Language and Communication UPSI namely Muhamad Adi Putra Bin Mohd Zikhan, Khadija Alya Iman Binti Mohd Zaki, Nur Kyra Elisya Binti Nazri and Hasya Ashra Binti Muhamad Zulhisyam.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI),  Prof. Dr. Suraini Abu Bakar, said that the initiative reflects the integration of academic learning and talent development within a holistic education ecosystem.

Director of NiCE, Prof. Dr. Wong Kung Teck, said the added that the performance embodies the Education 5.0 approach through experiential learning and the student-teacher residency model.

The collaboration highlights the potential of young learners while strengthening real-world teaching experience for future educators, in line with UPSI’s commitment to innovative and future-ready education.
