Sydney, 25–30 August 2025 – The Alumni Centre of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) proudly represented the university in the Networking & Launching of Australia Alumni Chapter, an initiative by the Malaysian Public Universities Alumni Council (MALUMNI), held in Sydney, Australia, from 25 to 30 August 2025.
The high profile programme marked a significant step in UPSI’s commitment to global engagement, strengthening strategic relationships through its alumni network while advancing the university’s reputation as a premier educational institution.
“This milestone is proof that our alumni are not only ambassadors of University’s but also catalysts for Malaysia’s presence on the world stage,” said the Chairman of MALUMNI, underscoring the pivotal role of alumni in fostering cross border collaboration in education, business, and human capital development.




The five day event brought together Malaysian public university alumni who are now excelling in various sectors across Australia. Activities included a networking dinner, an alumni forum featuring leading figures from academia and industry, and a series of social events designed to build lasting professional and personal connections.
The UPSI delegation also conducted official visits to several leading universities in Sydney to explore opportunities for academic partnerships, research collaboration, and international talent development, aligning with the broader agenda of Malaysian higher education internationalisation.

The successful launch of the Australia Alumni Chapter reaffirms MALUMNI’s commitment to expanding global networks, enhancing opportunities for alumni, and positioning Malaysia as a regional hub of education excellence.
