UPSI, 23rd March 2016 – As a result of its great achievements, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) had been visited by Tamil Education Service Switzerland (TESS), with a purpose of signing a Letter of Intent (LoI). The LoI was signed by both parties as a symbol of UPSI’s agreement of having a franchise in Switzerland where it will be managed by TESS.
UPSI was represented by its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Zakaria Kasa while TESS was represented by the coordinator of this program, Mr. Parthipan Kandasamy. During the meeting, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Zakaria said, UPSI will implement this program as soon as the proposal made by TESS had been received. He added that any learning and teaching material should be managed and discussed by expertise from both institutions and the franchise needs to follow all of UPSI’s rules and regulations such as the duration of selected programs and matters related to exam questions. In addition, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Zakaria also stated that 30% of the franchise’s income will go to UPSI and the remainder can be used for their own matters.
