8th May 2024 – 40 students from Faculty of Computing and Meta-Technology (FKMT), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) who are committees and members of Persatuan Teknologi Maklumat (PTM) and Persatuan Kejuruteraan Perisian (PKP) had the honour of representing the faculty in attending the prestigious Defense Services Asia 2024 (DSA) and NATSEC Asia 2024 exhibitions held on 6th to 9th May 2024, at the MITEC Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur. They are accompanied by YBrs. Mr. Ahmad Nurzid bin Rosli, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Digital Technology, FKMT.  DSA and NATSEC are major international events, organized by the Malaysian Ministries of Defense and Home Affairs, showcased the latest innovations in national security and defense technologies.

During the exhibition, the students had the privilege to witness firsthand the state-of-the-art technologies showcased at the LIMA ’25 Langkawi pavilion. Moreover, they had the chance to engage with industry experts, fostering meaningful interactions. The event provided a unique opportunity for them to closely examine cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, military equipment, and other advanced systems crucial for ensuring national security. This invaluable experience undoubtedly enriched their academic endeavours in relevant fields, offering valuable insights for their future pursuits.
