The programme included a visa briefing, an introduction to UPSI and IMAC, and a presentation by the UPSI Global Buddies Club, which supports international students in both academic and social integration.

Representatives from the Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Centre UPSI were also invited to introduce the university’s digital systems and online platforms, such as the UniSIS Student Portal, MyGURU, and other essential tools.

They guided students on how to navigate these platforms to access course materials, academic information, and university services more efficiently.

This session aimed to make their learning experience smoother and more convenient.

Participants were also given useful tips on campus life, including information about bus schedules, facilities, and faculty locations.

A short campus tour was conducted to help them familiarize themselves with both the Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah Campus and the Sultan Azlan Shah Campus, allowing them to feel more confident navigating their new environment.

Professor Dr. Ramlee Bin Ismail, Director of IMAC UPSI, highlighted the importance of such orientation activities in his welcoming speech, stating that “Orientation is not only about administrative procedures; it is the first step in helping our international students feel part of the UPSI family. We aim to provide them with the knowledge, tools, and support to thrive academically and socially.”

The orientation concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, followed by light networking activities where students mingled with their peers.

The event not only introduced them to university life but also marked the beginning of their exciting academic journey at UPSI.

This reflects the vision of UPSI Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Md Amin Md Taff, who aims to position UPSI as a globally connected institution that nurtures culturally aware, resilient, and innovative graduates.
