TANJONG MALIM, 31 October 2025 – UPSI Global Buddies successfully held its Annual Grand Meeting and Appreciation Night 2024/2025, celebrating a year of impactful initiatives and meaningful contributions to the international student community at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI).

The event was organized in collaboration with International, Mobility and Advanced Education Centre (IMAC) and attended by Dr. Nor Fadila Kasim, who serves as both the Deputy Director of IMAC and the Club Advisor of UPSI Global Buddies, along with officers and staff from IMAC’s Mobility and Student Development Unit.

The evening functioned as both the final meeting of the year and an appreciation ceremony for the 2024/2025 committee, honoring their efforts and dedication throughout the academic session.

During the event, the outgoing committee presented their annual report, highlighting 17 successfully organized activities and programs.

These included cultural exchange initiatives, community engagement projects, and recreational trips, all designed to foster cross-cultural understanding and support the well-being of international students at UPSI.

In her speech, Dr. Nor Fadila binti Kasim expressed her deep appreciation and pride toward the 2024/2025 committee.

“I am truly proud of how Global Buddies has successfully cared for our international students’ needs and upheld the mission of the club, which is to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging environment for all international students,” she stated.

Dr. Nor Fadila also extended a warm welcome to the newly appointed 2025/2026 committee, encouraging them to continue the good work.

“I believe the new committee will carry forward the same dedication and passion. Together, IMAC and Global Buddies can continue strengthening international student development and cross-cultural engagement at UPSI,” she added.
