TANJONG MALIM, 18 July 2026 – Sekolah Rendah Seri Budiman (SRSB), in collaboration with the Co-Curriculum Centre UPSI, successfully organised The Cross Campus Fun Run & One Day Camp on 18 July 2026. Held under the theme “Learn Outside, Grow Inside”, the programme involved 69 Year 1 to Year 3 students and aimed to promote holistic learning through outdoor activities, physical fitness, and teamwork.

The programme commenced with an energetic aerobics session led by the FSSK Responsive Team (FRT) from the Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching UPSI. This was followed by a 2 kilometre Cross Campus Fun Run from the Academic Complex to the UPSI Adventure Park (UAP). Upon arrival at the park, students participated in a series of engaging outdoor activities, including Basic Camping Skills (Asas Perkhemahan), Jungle Cooking (Masakan Rimba), and Jungle Games (Permainan Rimba). These activities were designed to foster resilience, self-confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in an enjoyable learning environment.

The success of the programme was made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Parent Support Group (PSG), as well as security assistance provided by Bahagian Keselamatan UPSI and the Muallim District Civil Defence Force (Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia Daerah Muallim). The programme also benefited from the professional guidance and expertise of the FSSK Responsive Team, while the enthusiastic support and active participation of parents further contributed to the overall success and meaningfulness of the event.

The programme was honoured by the presence of Encik Osman bin Mohamed Bahari, Deputy Director of the Planning and Management Sector, Perak State Education Department; Encik Mohamad Irwan bin Manshur, Assistant District Education Officer (Private Education), Muallim District Education Office; Professor Ts. Dr. Wong Kung Teck, Director of the Neoteric Education Initiatives Centre, UPSI; and Encik Hafizan bin Mohamad Dain, PSG representative.

The programme reflects SRSB’s commitment to providing meaningful experiential learning opportunities that nurture students’ physical, social, and emotional development while strengthening collaboration between the school, university, parents, and community partners.
