Kuala Lumpur, 31 November 2024 – Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) reaffirmed its leadership in promoting community wellness through the AgeWell: Health & Fitness Education for Seniors program. Spearheaded by Dr. Mohd Huzairi Sani, this impactful initiative, held at Pinnacle Fitness KL, was a collaborative effort with the global Asian Pacific Consortium for Public Health (APACPH) and the Exercise is Medicine (EIM) initiative.

The program, designed to empower older adults, provided participants with practical tools and knowledge to maintain their physical and mental well-being. Sessions covered essential topics, including exercise guidelines for seniors, facial acupressure techniques, and strategies for enhancing mental health and quality of life.

Participants were enthusiastic about the program’s interactive and hands-on approach. “The sessions were practical and inspiring. I feel more confident in taking steps to improve my health,” shared one participant. With support from APACPH and Exercise is Medicine (EIM), the AgeWell program is a shining example of UPSI’s dedication to lifelong learning and health promotion.
